Senior Field Application Engineer (Semiconductor & Embedded AI)
About The Position
We're partnering with an innovative semiconductor company developing next-generation AI technologies for edge computing. As the company continues to expand across North America, we're seeking an experienced Senior Field Application Engineer to work closely with customers, engineering teams, and sales to drive successful product adoption and implementation. This is a highly technical, customer-facing position ideal for someone who enjoys solving complex engineering challenges, supporting customer integrations, and influencing future product development through real-world feedback. The role is fully remote within the United States and requires frequent travel throughout North America. Applicants must already be authorized to work full-time in the United States. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
Requirements
- Minimum 7 years of experience in a customer-facing technical role such as Field Application Engineer, Solutions Engineer, System Architect, or Technical Support Engineer within the semiconductor industry.
- Experience supporting embedded AI or machine learning applications.
- Strong background working with semiconductor technologies and customer implementations.
- Experience collaborating with globally distributed engineering teams.
- Excellent communication and customer relationship management skills.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong programming skills in Python and C/C++.
- Experience with machine learning frameworks such as TensorFlow and/or PyTorch.
- Knowledge of embedded development environments and AI software stacks.
Nice To Haves
- Understanding of embedded systems and computer architecture is highly desirable.
- Experience providing technical support for networking or complex embedded systems is an advantage.
Responsibilities
- Serve as the primary technical advisor for customers throughout the product evaluation and integration process.
- Build strong technical relationships with customer engineering teams and architects.
- Support customers with technical troubleshooting, product implementation, and integration challenges.
- Conduct architecture reviews, schematic reviews, and design-in support.
- Deliver technical workshops and customer training sessions alongside engineering teams.
- Collaborate with Product, Architecture, and Software Engineering teams to translate customer feedback into product improvements.
- Partner with Sales during customer engagements by providing technical expertise and demonstrating solution value.
- Support customer deployments across North America through regular onsite visits.
