Join CHS as a Senior Feed Mill Operator in our Mandan, ND location! In this role, you’ll help produce high-quality liquid livestock feed by operating equipment, supporting day-to-day production, and keeping the facility running safely and efficiently. No direct feed mill experience? No problem. We provide on-the-job training! Requirements

  • 2+ years of experience in operations, production, manufacturing, agriculture or general labor environments.
  • Ability to operate machinery such as forklifts and loaders
  • Ability to work extended hours during peak seasons to meet business demands

Nice To Haves

  • High School diploma or GED preferred
  • Agriculture experience preferred
  • Forklift certification preferred

Responsibilities

  • Independently manage the operation of liquid feed mill equipment (mixers & batching systems) to manufacture livestock liquid feed
  • Receive, handle, and move feed ingredients, load and unload trucks
  • Prepare and manage loadout, including opening hatches, attaching hoses, sampling, and ensuring accurate product delivery
  • Monitor batching/scaling systems and adjust processes to maintain feed quality and production accuracy
  • Perform routine equipment maintenance (greasing, inspections, minor troubleshooting) and report mechanical issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe mill environment through daily housekeeping, spill cleanup, and site upkeep
  • Follow all safety, quality, and compliance standards while working with the team to meet daily production targets
  • Work closely with plant supervisor on all aspects of operational planning
