About The Position

The Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS) is offering a competitive opportunity to serve as the Senior Federal Reporting Analyst in the Federal Reporting Division. This position is responsible for managing, preparing, analyzing, and reconciling data required for Federal and internal reporting related to the Medicaid Administrative Grant. This includes preparing or reviewing the agency's Public Assistance Cost Allocation Plan (PACAP), automated cost allocation system journal, Medicaid and Children’s Health Insurance budget and expenditures (Admin) quarterly reports, weekly/monthly Cardinal, MMIS financial, reconciliation of claims processed by fiscal agent, Trial Balance and Statement of Appropriation reports. Additionally, the role involves reviewing and/or keying the quarterly Statistical Enrollment Data (SEDS) informational reports. The position has in-office requirements for attending internal staff meetings, training, and occasional conferences. Requirements

  • Knowledge/Experience working in an accounting operations and financial reporting environment.
  • Knowledge/Experience preparing complex financial schedules and reports, including assembling, analyzing, and preparing reports and statements covering complex financial data.
  • Knowledge/Experience of data processing techniques in maintaining accounting records and creating work papers to support federal reports.
  • Knowledge/Experience of internal controls and process management.
  • Knowledge/Experience of Microsoft Office Products.
  • Knowledge/Experience conducting research, analyzing, interpreting, and applying regulations, state and federal laws.
  • Experience in prioritizing multiple work assignments and meeting scheduled deadlines.
  • Experience with internal/external stakeholders.
  • Considerable experience with large main frame systems or Cardinal.
