About The Position

Reporting to the Manager, FCCL & Sunrise Integrity Management the Senior Facility Integrity Technologist is responsible for supporting the ongoing development and sustainment of the Cenovus Integrity Management Program. While this position is currently at Christina Lake North, this posting could be used to fill vacancies at any of the Oil Sands Operations sites (Christina Lake, Christina Lake North, Foster Creek, or Sunrise, based on business need).

Requirements

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.
  • Minimum 8 years of related experience in the oil and gas industry.
  • Certification as an Alberta In-service Pressure Equipment Inspector and API-510.
  • For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 driver's license, a satisfactory driving record, and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines.
  • A driver's abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.

Nice To Haves

  • Engineering technology diploma in welding, materials, or mechanical engineering considered an asset.
  • Certification in API-570, 653, NB-23, or NACE considered an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance of assets in your area.
  • Perform internal and external inspection and conduct condition assessment of pressure equipment and tanks.
  • Apply integrity, inspection, and damage mechanism practices in support of risk assessments and mitigation.
  • Apply codes and regulatory requirements to help ensure integrity programs are effective.
  • Develop inspection and repair scopes to support detailed Inspection and repair alteration programs.
  • Assess PRD service records and re-validate the service intervals.
  • Support equipment criticality and ranking assessments.
  • Conduct annual equipment inspection interval review, inspection interval revision and deferral process.
  • Support sustainment of the piping integrity program.
  • Provide continuous improvement to the development of preventative maintenance programs.
