About The Position

T1 Energy is looking to hire a Senior Facilities Technician to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operational performance of our Wilmer, TX facility. The ideal candidate is a hands-on technician with strong mechanical, electrical, and building systems knowledge, capable of working independently and supporting cross-functional teams. This position reports directly to the Facilities Manager and plays a key role in ensuring the safety, functionality, and continuous improvement of all facility systems and infrastructure.

Requirements

  • Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and equipment manuals.
  • Proficient with hand and power tools, diagnostic equipment, and basic computer applications (e.g., MS Office).
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs, climb ladders, and work in varying environmental conditions.
  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Minimum 5–7 years of hands-on facility maintenance experience in an industrial or commercial setting.
  • Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, and mechanical systems

Nice To Haves

  • Technical certification or trade school degree preferred.
  • EPA Universal Refrigerant Certification.
  • OSHA 10/30 Hour Certification.
  • Knowledge of energy-efficient building operations and sustainability best practices.
  • Previous experience in leadership or mentorship role.

Responsibilities

  • Perform advanced troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance of HVAC, electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee preventive maintenance schedules to minimize equipment downtime and extend asset life.
  • Assist in managing contractors and vendors for outsourced facility services, ensuring quality and compliance with safety standards.
  • Support building automation systems (BAS), energy management initiatives, and facility sustainability goals.
  • Ensure compliance with OSHA, local codes, and internal safety policies; contribute to EHS inspections and audits.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, service requests, inspections, and equipment performance logs.
  • Respond to urgent facility issues, including after-hours emergencies, as needed.
  • Recommend and assist in implementing facility upgrades and cost-saving opportunities.
  • Collaborate with operations, safety, and project management teams to support new installations and renovations.
  • Mentor junior technicians and contribute to a high-performance team environment.
