About The Position

The Senior Facilities Custodial Technician plays a pivotal role in preserving a clean, safe, and welcoming environment that directly supports the Company’s operational excellence and brand reputation. The position demands a blend of practical cleaning expertise, disciplined adherence to safety and quality standards, and flexibility to respond to evolving service requirements.

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent degree is required.
  • 5+ years of facilities custodial experience is required.
  • Proficiency in safe handling, mixing, and application of commercial‑grade cleaning chemicals
  • Knowledge of a range of custodial equipment—including ride‑on floor scrubbers, pressure washers, industrial vacuums, and steam cleaners—and ability to troubleshoot them
  • Working knowledge of infection‑control practices and waste‑segregation guidelines
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for interaction with internal stakeholders and external service providers
  • Proficiency with sustainability or green‑cleaning initiatives, inventory‑management systems, and accurate activity‑log maintenance

Nice To Haves

  • Industry‑recognized certifications (e.g., IICRC, OSHA Hazardous Materials Handling) is preferred.
  • Working experience in manufacturing industry or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain cleaning schedules by area, including cleaning frequency and rotation of cleaning agents.
  • Conduct comprehensive cleaning of all designated workspaces (offices, conference rooms, restrooms, common areas and manufacturing areas) including dusting, sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and surface sanitization to reduce microbial load.
  • Monitor and replenish consumable supplies such as paper products, hand‑soap dispensers and cleaning chemicals, ensuring inventory stays within predefined threshold.
  • Perform routine inspections of floor finishes, upholstery and glass surfaces; apply spot‑treatments to stains and report any damage for professional repair.
  • Manage waste segregation by separating recyclable, compostable and landfill waste in line with local regulations, and operate/troubleshoot waste‑collection equipment to minimize downtime.
  • Inspect safety equipment—including fire extinguishers and emergency exits—document findings and initiate corrective actions when compliance gaps are identified.
  • Coordinate deep‑cleaning cycles and seasonal maintenance projects (e.g., carpet steam cleaning, floor stripping, high‑level dusting of ventilation ducts), working with external vendors to meet scheduling and quality standards.
  • Employ environmentally responsible cleaning methods and report resource‑usage metrics that support the Company’s sustainability goals.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of all cleaning activities, inventory usage and incident reports to provide critical data for Facilities Manager oversight.
  • Conduct daily inspections of the facility including active areas / shell space / mechanical rooms etc., ensuring the facility is properly maintained and clean supporting a professional line of sight.
  • Provide recommendations for improvements in cleaning / cleaning materials
  • Proactively identify maintenance needs and communicate promptly with maintenance teams to ensure operational continuity and a safe, pleasant workplace for occupants.
  • Oversee and provide direction to the OPWDD team including approval of hours worked / timecards while maintaining a good working relationship
  • Onboard and train new ImmunityBio custodial team members at the facility.
  • Partner with 3rd party custodial teams and oversee their operations.
  • Create, edit and adhere to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), process improvements, and standardization of templates.
  • Performs ad-hoc and cross-functional duties and/or projects as assigned to support business needs and provide developmental opportunities.
