Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer

Analog Devices•Camas, WA
•$86,400 - $118,800

About The Position

Analog Devices is seeking a Senior Facilities Electrical Engineer to take technical ownership of the electrical systems that support an advanced manufacturing environment. The role serves as a technical expert for site electrical infrastructure, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, emergency power, UPS systems, generators, and lighting. It combines hands-on problem solving, technical leadership, system design, and project execution to improve reliability, modernize infrastructure, and support safe, continuous operations. The engineer works across engineering, operations, construction, and maintenance teams. The role leads or supports electrical scopes for capital projects, develops and reviews power-system designs and analyses, supports construction and commissioning, and improves preventive and predictive maintenance. It also contributes to energy efficiency and sustainability initiatives while maintaining the reliability required for critical manufacturing operations. Critical infrastructure issues may be supported through the site’s sustaining and on-call operations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of experience in facilities, infrastructure, building systems, power distribution, or a related electrical engineering environment.
  • Experience with low- and medium-voltage electrical distribution and emergency or backup power systems.
  • Working knowledge of applicable electrical and safety standards, including NFPA 70 and NFPA 70E.
  • Experience supporting engineering projects from design through construction or implementation.
  • Ability to troubleshoot electrical systems and collaborate effectively with engineers, contractors, electricians, and operations teams.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a technical expert for site electrical systems, including low- and medium-voltage distribution, generators, UPS systems, emergency power, and lighting.
  • Define and continuously improve engineering standards, system reliability, and electrical infrastructure strategy.
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen redundancy, resiliency, safety, and system performance.
  • Develop and improve preventive and predictive maintenance strategies to increase equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
  • Troubleshoot complex electrical issues with electricians, facilities teams, and operations.
  • Support critical infrastructure issues as needed through sustaining and on-call operations.
  • Lead or support the electrical scope of capital projects, including infrastructure upgrades and projects supporting advanced manufacturing, cleanroom, and high-tech environments.
  • Partner with contractors, consultants, and internal engineering teams from initial concept through construction and commissioning.
  • Review electrical submittals and RFIs and provide field engineering support for safe, high-quality project execution.
  • Develop and review electrical engineering deliverables, including single-line diagrams, load calculations, panel schedules, lighting layouts, short-circuit and coordination studies, and arc-flash studies.
  • Apply applicable electrical codes and standards, including NFPA 70, NFPA 70E, IEEE, IEC, and local requirements.
  • Identify opportunities to improve electrical efficiency and optimize system performance.
  • Contribute to energy conservation and sustainability initiatives while maintaining reliability for critical manufacturing operations.
  • Collaborate with mechanical, architectural, structural, manufacturing, facilities, and construction teams on multidisciplinary projects.
