About The Position

Kyotec Polska Design Office, based in Warsaw, is looking for a Senior Facade Structural Engineer on a permanent contract. Reporting to the Country Manager, you will work alongside experienced engineers to develop complex building envelopes, helping to ensure energy efficiency, compliance with standards, and design excellence.

Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years’ experience in designing façade structures (experience of working with unitised/segmental systems is essential).
• A degree in civil engineering (specialising in structural engineering or a related field).
• Fluent spoken and written English.
• Practical knowledge of engineering software for static calculations and FEM (e.g. Profis, SJ Mepla, Robot, Strand7 or similar) and AutoCAD.
• Practical knowledge of building physics, the mechanics of glass and aluminium, and the specifics of British technical requirements (e.g. CWCT).

Nice To Haves

• Holding an unrestricted building design licence would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of French would be an advantage.
• Knowledge of the specifics of the French or Belgian market would be an advantage.

Responsibilities

• Supporting the design process for façade structures (with particular focus on unitised/project-specific façades, aluminium-and-glass façades, steel structures and fixings).
• Carrying out structural verification in accordance with design specifications, regulations and relevant standards. Generating calculation reports.
• Working closely with the design team and project managers to optimise technical solutions.
• Representing the company technically in dealings with façade consultants and main contractors.
• Providing technical guidance and supporting the development of junior engineers within the team.
