About The Position

The Senior External Financial Reporting Analyst will be located in our Corporate office and plays a critical role in driving the accuracy and integrity of PLP’s financial reporting. This position supports the preparation of monthly financial statements in accordance with US GAAP and PLP policies, leads the development of timely and compliant SEC filings, and conducts technical accounting research to inform high‑quality accounting policies. The ideal candidate brings strong analytical skills, knowledge of US GAAP, SEC regulations, and SOX 404 requirements, and a passion for delivering clear, reliable, and insightful financial reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BS/BA) in Accounting and 4-6 years of public accounting or SEC Reporting.
  • Comprehensive U.S. GAAP knowledge and understanding of SEC filing requirements.
  • Solid analytical skills.
  • Previous knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office programs (Outlook, Access, PowerPoint, Word, and Excel) as well as PowerBI.

Nice To Haves

  • CPA/CMA a plus, but not required.
  • IFS, OneStream and SEC filing software (e.g. Workiva) a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Leads the preparation of SEC filings (e.g., Forms 10‑Q, 10‑K, 8-K, 4, and the Proxy Statement) taking direct ownership of complex, judgmental, or high-risk disclosure areas ensuring accuracy, consistency, and regulatory compliance.
  • Oversee the compilation of financial data supporting financial statement disclosures and footnotes, ensuring completeness and technical accuracy.
  • Act as a primary liaison with external and internal auditors, coordinating global audit activities and ensuring timely, high‑quality responses to audit inquiries.
  • Coordinate and manage international audit support activities, including alignment with auditors, oversight of audit deliverables ensuring SOX 404 and PCAOB compliant documentation, and resolution of accounting and reporting issues.
  • Lead the evaluation and implementation of new accounting standards (e.g., DISE), oversee US GAAP research, and review technical position papers to support management conclusions.
  • Establish, maintain, and oversee global accounting policies to promote consistency, transparency, and compliance across the organization.
  • Support accounting and reporting for the Company’s equity compensation programs (e.g., LTIP, stock options).
  • Manage the Company’s lease accounting under ASC 842, including direct involvement in complex lease assessments, modifications, or judgments, and oversight of ongoing lease portfolio maintenance.
  • Collaborate with global subsidiaries to ensure compliance with PLP accounting policies and internal control requirements.
  • Perform key general ledger account reconciliations.
  • Review and deliver ad hoc financial reporting and analysis for management, ensuring accuracy, clarity, and decision‑useful insights.
  • Prepare presentations for senior management on financial results and/or other topics.
