About The Position

This position is responsible for the processing and follow-up of Export customer orders. The position requires extensive follow-through with customers, sales, production and logistics to ensure timely delivery and accurate billing of customer orders.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3-4 years working in an export or import logistics capacity
  • Familiarity with SAP, JDE or similar ERP environment desirable.
  • Detail oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Able to handle multiple tasks effectively and efficiently with multiple interruptions
  • Ability to work independently and on a team
  • Basic level of Microsoft 365 suite and internet skills
  • Ability to maintain composure under pressure
  • Effective problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of general freight forwarding terms and standards
  • Knowledge of U.S. Customs Regulations and Harmonized Tariff Schedule
  • Cross cultural awareness

Nice To Haves

  • Bachelor’s degree in international business or related field is recommended
  • College degree preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain direct responsibility for designated accounts, from order receipt through shipment, invoicing and document delivery
  • Accurate and timely entry of customer orders
  • Handle daily service and order activities.
  • Work closely with plant schedulers and transportation group to secure on-time deliveries
  • Play critical role in developing customer relationships and resolving customer issues
  • Backup team members
  • Maintain master file information
  • Invoice orders and complete month-end closing transactions
  • Entry of credits, debits, and sample order requests
  • Meet department KPIs
  • Recording and reporting on ongoing issues
