About The Position

KeyBank is building leadership capability to support the expansion of our Commercial Banking business into new and growing markets. We are hiring an Executive Recruiter to lead senior and executive level hiring for Commercial Banking growth initiatives, with a primary focus on senior sales and market leadership roles. This role requires an experienced executive recruiter who can operate with polish, confidence, and resilience in a high visibility environment. You will manage end-to-end executive searches, partner closely with senior leaders, and bring deep market knowledge to inform hiring decisions in competitive growth markets. This is a hands-on, high impact role within a high performing executive recruiting team.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of full lifecycle executive recruiting experience, including senior revenue generating leadership roles
  • Demonstrated success recruiting highly accomplished, highly compensated executive talent in either an in-house or retained search environment
  • Strong commercial acumen and credibility with senior sales and banking leaders
  • Poise, polish, and sound judgment when working with senior executives and sophisticated candidates
  • Resilience and composure under pressure, comfortable with high executive visibility and competing priorities
  • A consultative mindset that brings insight, challenges thinking, and influences outcomes
  • Resourceful and proactive, comfortable building searches from the ground up through direct sourcing
  • Strong project management and prioritization skills in a fast paced, complex environment
  • Willingness to travel as needed

  • Experience recruiting within Commercial Banking, Financial Services, or growth oriented B2B organizations strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Lead full lifecycle executive recruiting for senior Commercial Banking leadership roles, from search strategy through close
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to senior business and HR leaders, providing market insights, talent perspectives, and clear recommendations
  • Design and execute sophisticated search strategies, including market mapping, proactive sourcing, direct outreach, and candidate development
  • Build and maintain deep knowledge of Commercial Banking competitors, priority markets, and leadership talent pools to support active searches and opportunistic hiring
  • Rigorously assess senior talent with emphasis on growth leadership, sales execution, market entry experience, and organizational scale
  • Deliver high touch, white glove experiences for senior candidates and internal stakeholders
  • Prepare and coach interview panels, synthesize feedback, and guide selection decisions
  • Partner with Compensation and HR to develop and negotiate complex offers, including relocation
  • Build long term relationships with senior Commercial Banking leaders to support current and future talent needs
  • Leverage executive recruiting tools and CRM technology to manage pipelines, ensure compliance, and retain market intelligence
  • Represent and differentiate KeyBank by clearly articulating our Commercial Banking strategy, culture, and leadership opportunities
