About The Position

As the Senior Executive Assistant to the Senior Vice President of Corporate Development, you will serve as a strategic partner at the highest levels of the organization. This role goes beyond traditional administrative support—you’ll drive efficiency, enable decision-making, and ensure seamless execution of leadership priorities. You’ll operate in a fast-paced, highly visible environment, managing complex calendars, communications, and critical business activities. You’ll be part of a high-performing leadership support network that enables Walmart Corporate Development’s executive team to operate effectively across markets and time zones. The team partners closely with finance, strategy, and business leaders to ensure alignment, execution, and communication of key priorities. This role is critical in supporting the SVP by managing competing demands, anticipating needs, and facilitating cross-functional collaboration. Success on this team requires strong business acumen, discretion, and the ability to navigate a global, matrixed organization.

Requirements

  • Experience supporting C-level or senior executive leaders in a large, complex, and fast-paced organization
  • Proven ability to manage highly complex calendars across multiple time zones and shifting priorities
  • Strong business acumen, with the ability to understand financial, operational, and strategic priorities
  • Advanced communication skills, including drafting executive-level correspondence and presentations
  • Experience coordinating travel, large-scale meetings, and executive events
  • High level of discretion and judgment in handling confidential and sensitive information
  • Ability to influence, prioritize, and problem-solve independently in a global, matrixed environment
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Operations, or related field and 1 year’s experience in field, administration, operations, or relevant area OR 3 years’ experience in field, administration, operations, or relevant area.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a highly complex and dynamic calendar for the SVP of Corporate Development, balancing global time zones, shifting priorities, and critical business needs.
  • Coordinate and execute leadership meetings, global events, and travel logistics, including pre-read preparation and follow-ups
  • Serve as a key liaison between the SVP, internal/external stakeholders, including senior executives, EC/Board, international partners, and cross-functional teams
  • Draft, review, and manage communications on behalf of the SVP, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and alignment with business priorities
  • Support financial and business operations by tracking expenses, coordinating budgets, and maintaining reporting tools and data accuracy
  • Anticipate needs and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts, operational challenges, and emerging issues
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with the highest level of discretion and professionalism
