About The Position

Climb Channel Solutions is a specialty distributor of innovative IT solutions, helping vendors, value-added resellers (VARs), and managed service providers (MSPs) accelerate growth and drive success. We are seeking an experienced Senior Event Manager to join our North America Marketing team. This role is responsible for leading the planning, execution, and measurement of a diverse portfolio of events across North America, including conferences, partner summits, executive meetings, vendor showcases, and partner engagement programs.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Hospitality, Marketing, Business, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience in event management, conference planning, hospitality, field marketing, or related marketing roles.
  • Proven experience managing corporate events from concept through execution and post-event analysis.
  • Experience managing significant event budgets, including large-scale conferences.
  • Strong project management, organizational, and multitasking skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong customer service mindset and ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Willingness to travel throughout North America (up to 20%).

Nice To Haves

  • Hospitality industry experience planning and managing large corporate conferences.
  • Familiarity with the technology, channel/distribution industries.
  • Experience with sponsorship management and attendee engagement strategies.
  • Preferred experience with: Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Word)
  • Preferred experience with: Project management tools (Wrike, Asana, or similar)
  • Preferred experience with: CRM platforms (Zoho or similar)
  • Preferred experience with: Event registration and management platforms (Cvent preferred)

Responsibilities

  • Lead the planning, execution, and post-event reporting for conferences, partner summits, executive meetings, vendor showcases, and customer engagement events. These events range from small meetings to complex multi-day conferences up to 400ppl.
  • Develop event timelines, agendas, registration strategies, and communication plans.
  • Manage all event logistics, including venue sourcing, contract negotiations, room setups, hotel room blocks, food & beverage, transportation, audiovisual requirements, signage, branding, and onsite operations.
  • Coordinate event materials, shipping logistics, attendee communications, and onsite staffing.
  • Conduct pre-event planning meetings and post-event debriefs.
  • Coordinate communications with customers, vendors, and internal teams before, during, and after events.
  • Develop and manage event budgets up to $1 million per event.
  • Negotiate with venues and vendors, review estimates, process invoices, reconcile expenses, and prepare post-event financial reporting.
  • Ensure events are delivered on budget while maximizing ROI and stakeholder value.
  • Partner with Sales, Vendor Management, Marketing, and Leadership teams to align event strategies with business objectives.
  • Work closely with sponsors, vendors, and external partners to maximize engagement and event success.
  • Coordinate presenter communications, presentation requirements, and event production schedules.
  • Manage venue AV teams and production partners, with a working knowledge of audiovisual requirements for in-person, virtual, and hybrid events.
  • Collect and analyze attendee, sponsor, and partner feedback.
  • Measure event performance, sponsorship value, engagement, and ROI.
  • Provide recommendations to improve future events and programs.
