About The Position

Octagon is seeking a Senior Event Executive for their Global Hospitality team, supporting a Payment Services client. This role involves planning and executing event and experiential marketing programs, with a focus on providing a seamless, white-glove hospitality experience. The position offers broad exposure to the hospitality industry and hands-on experience with elite events. The role is flexible in location, with a preference for candidates open to hybrid work (3 days a week in the office) in one of Octagon's office locations: Stamford, CT, New York, NY, Charlotte, NC, Atlanta, GA, Chicago, IL, or Los Angeles, CA. The client is an award-winning Payment Services brand known for its iconic marketing initiatives.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in related events field
  • Past hospitality experience preferred
  • Passion for sports, entertainment, gaming, music and/or celebrity & lifestyle culture

  • Self-starter with the ability to balance multiple projects on strict deadlines simultaneously
  • Ability to form effective links with clients; willingness to be flexible and adaptable in working with various personalities

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in the world of golf hospitality is a plus
  • Fluency in a second language is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Assist with event planning, on-site activation, and post-event wrap-up for various hospitality programs
  • Handle online guest registration systems and databases
  • Develop templates and acquire invitee information from various clients
  • Budget creation, management, reconciliation, and recap
  • Creation of personalized itineraries for various events (i.e., golf, football, private events, entertainment)
  • Co-lead all weekly status calls and other key meetings with both internal and external constituents
  • Lead all logistics to include, but not limited to, décor, lodging, transportation, food and beverage, production services, and celebrity appearances
  • Create and provide status and budget reports for client usage (e.g., invitation status, golf pairings, dinners, activities, etc.)
  • Prepare and distribute event status meeting notes, execution guides, staff implementation guides
  • Handle event results reporting and wrap-up report development
  • General account management and assistance with client requests
