About The Position

The Senior Estimator will play a critical role in preparing accurate and competitive cost estimates for heavy civil construction projects, including highways, bridges, tunnels, and other infrastructure works, ensuring successful bids and project outcomes. Ensure alignment with Webber’s standards by developing high-quality estimates that support safe, efficient, and cost-effective project delivery.

Requirements

  • 7–10+ years of experience in heavy civil construction estimating, including infrastructure projects such as roads, bridges, and tunnels.
  • Proven experience developing accurate estimates and supporting successful bids on large-scale construction projects.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to evaluate complex project data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Proficient in estimating software (e.g., HCSS, Bluebeam, PlanSwift) and Microsoft Office.
  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized, and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Strong decision-making ability with a focus on accuracy and efficiency

Responsibilities

  • Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to prepare detailed cost estimates.
  • Perform detailed quantity take-offs for various construction activities and materials.
  • Prepare comprehensive cost estimates including labor, materials, equipment, subcontractor costs, and other expenses.
  • Develop and submit bid proposals in response to RFPs and RFQs.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project requirements and constraints.
  • Conduct site visits and assessments to gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
  • Review and evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure accuracy and competitiveness.
  • Analyze historical data and current market conditions to inform cost estimates and pricing strategies.
  • Monitor and compare project performance against estimates to identify trends and opportunities.
  • Provide insights to project teams regarding risks, cost trends, and value engineering opportunities.
  • Stay updated on industry trends, best practices, and advancements in construction technology.
