About The Position

The ideal candidate will have experience in estimating as well as managing and tracking multiple concurrent commercial millwork projects, including the installation process. This individual will be extremely familiar with reading architectural drawings, interior design drawings and millwork shop drawings.

Requirements

• 5 to 10+ years of Estimating experience and knowledge of constructions materials and methods.
• Experience analyzing job specifications, reading blueprints and calculating take off of materials needed for casework and custom millwork items.

Responsibilities

• May review design options and recommend best solutions based on cost, engineering quality, or availability of material.
• Maintain files of working documents as back-up for estimating figures, including accurate information on prices from suppliers
• Review proposal specifications and drawings to determine scope of work and required contents of estimate.
• Build and maintain relationships with contractors, architects, and suppliers.
• Prepare estimates by calculating the complete takeoff of scope of work.
• Capacity to handle pressure and oversee multiple projects.
• Ability to motivate, lead, and boost morale of the teams.
• Track and update status of all proposals.
