Fisk Electric, a Tutor Perini Company, is seeking to hire a Senior Estimator to join our Los Angeles, CA office. Extraordinary Projects need Exceptional Talent DESCRIPTION: Fisk Electric is looking for a Senior Estimator that would primarily be tasked with providing estimates, quantity takeoffs and proposal documentation . This position would receive direction from the Chief Estimator and work closely with Estimators and Project Managers.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree desired (Electrical / Mechanical Engineers, Construction Management, or related field); High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Prior experience in construction industry preferred
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship now or in the future
Responsibilities
- Review and understand contract specifications, documents & drawings to perform takeoff’s accurately
- Perform plan measurements to develop and/or verify quantity estimates
- Research for and interface with vendors and subcontractors for proposals
- Perform data entry into and update material pricing in estimating software
- Update labor rates
- Stay apprised of industry standard software including researching and reviewing new technologies to expedite the takeoff process
- Communicate with Engineering Consultants and Designers to coordinate information digitally to complete takeoff’s
- Occasional project site visits and pre-bid meeting attendance
- Special projects as necessary
- Assist with other estimating duties as assigned
