Learn more at li.me. We are seeking a highly skilled, techno-functional Senior ERP Application Engineer to drive the development, customization, and integration of our NetSuite ERP ecosystem. In this role, you will be the core hands-on technical expert responsible for customizing NetSuite Financials and building robust data pipelines with our procurement systems. The ideal candidate will possess deep techno-functional expertise across asset management, intercompany accounting, and Source-to-Pay workflows, utilizing SuiteScript and modern integration tools to deliver stable, scalable technical solutions. This is a remote position with a requirement for candidates to reside in Canada to maintain effective collaboration across teams.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in ERP development, with deep hands-on expertise in NetSuite development and configuration using SuiteScript.
  • Solid technical and functional understanding of NetSuite Financials, Intercompany operations, and Procurement modules.
  • Practical experience configuring NetSuite FAM and implementing complex Landed Cost allocation models to capture accurate asset metrics.
  • Hands-on experience developing and supporting workflows connecting Coupa to NetSuite for purchase-to-pay processes, supplier synchronization, and automated invoicing.
  • Experience configuring custom GL impacts, multi-currency accounting, automated intercompany eliminations, and vendor return workflows (VMR).
  • Experience supporting multi-subsidiary, multi-currency, and global finance operations within NetSuite OneWorld environments.
  • Experience supporting month-end close, financial consolidations, reconciliations, and audit processes.
  • Expert-level proficiency with the SuiteCloud customization platform, including SuiteScript (2.0/2.1), SuiteBuilder, SuiteTalk (SOAP/REST APIs), and SuiteBundler.
  • Practical, hands-on experience using Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) languages (such as Java or Python) paired with experience utilizing middleware solutions like Boomi, or Workato.
  • Strong understanding of SQL for database management and custom reporting/analytics, alongside familiarity with Git-based version control systems and the SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF).
  • Comfort working in high-growth, compliance-driven environments navigating standard SOX, GDPR, or asset-tracking controls.
  • Ability to participate in a shared on-call rotation supporting production systems, including occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday coverage, with responsibility for responding to critical alerts, coordinating escalations to restore service, and documenting issues to help prevent recurrence.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and execute technical development tasks within NetSuite, ensuring development best practices in configuration, scripting, and integrations.
  • Develop, customize, and enhance NetSuite configurations based on evolving business requirements, specifically focusing on Fixed Asset Management (FAM), Vendor Management & Returns (VMR), Landed Cost (LC), General Ledger (GL), Intercompany Management, and Payables.
  • Design and deploy scalable NetSuite customizations using SuiteCloud Development Framework (SDF), SuiteScript 2.0/2.1, SuiteFlow, SuiteBuilder, custom records, custom forms, saved searches, and advanced PDF/HTML templates.
  • Build and maintain robust SuiteTalk REST/SOAP integrations, RESTlets, Map/Reduce scripts, User Event scripts, Client scripts, Scheduled scripts, and Suitelets.
  • Build, deploy, and maintain high-performing integrations and automated workflows between NetSuite and our procurement platform, Coupa.
  • Streamline accounting and operational flows by leveraging SuiteFlow (Workflows) and SuiteScript (2.0/2.1) to drive day-to-day efficiency.
  • Implement and audit proper role-based access controls (RBAC), data security policies, and SOX compliance measures to ensure audit-ready system configurations.
  • Partner closely with Enterprise Product Managers, Data Platforms, Sourcing, and corporate business teams to translate functional business requirements into scalable technical solutions.
  • Enforce established coding standards for NetSuite extensions and automated pipelines to ensure platform maintainability and performance scalability.
  • Act as a technical mentor to junior developers on the team, performing peer code reviews and aligning technical design layouts.
  • Stay up to date with NetSuite bi-annual releases, evaluating new features, managing patch impacts, and assisting in technical regression testing.
  • Support month-end and quarter-end close activities by troubleshooting NetSuite issues related to journals, approvals, reconciliations, eliminations, amortizations, accruals, and vendor bills.
  • Optimize script performance, governance usage, deployment strategies, and error handling to support high-volume financial and procurement operations.
  • Participate in the team's on-call rotation, responding to incidents, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to root cause analysis and service reliability improvements.
  • Respond to and troubleshoot production issues, outages, and critical alerts during assigned on-call shifts.
  • Escalate incidents as needed and collaborate with team members to restore service.
  • Document issues and contribute to improvements that reduce recurring incidents.
  • Be available to provide occasional after-hours, weekend, and holiday support while on call.
