We are looking for a Senior Equipment Engineering Technician to join our team in one of today’s most exciting technologies. This role will report to Equipment Engineering Senior Manager and based in Fremont CA. This is a fully on-site, in office role.

Requirements

  • 9+ years of high capacity manufacturing environment preferred
  • Associate degree or technical certification in Engineering Technology, Mechatronics, Industrial Maintenance required or equivalent relevant experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering discipline preferred but not required
  • Experience with Automated Equipment.
  • Functional knowledge of PLC’s, low voltage controls, three phase power distribution, industrial control panels, electronic sensors, pneumatics and hydraulics
  • Equipment requirement development and specification writing
  • Knowledge of ergonomic and machine safety standards
  • Knowledge of Autocad, Solidworks and MS Office suite
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills
  • Good Attendance, Initiative, responsible follow through and a willingness to help.
  • Must be flexible with changing shift or work schedule.

Responsibilities

  • Support equipment across various manufacturing lines, with differing levels of complexity
  • Skilled in diagnosing and fixing high speed automated manufacturing equipment
  • Provide support for equipment through PLC and HMI programming, encompassing motion and servo control systems
  • Ability to modify existing control logic to improve safety, performance or throughput
  • Participate in commissioning of new automated equipment and ensure all devices function as designed
  • Installation, commissioning and support of vision systems for tracking and quality inspections
  • Oversee equipment installation as well as start-up and implementation projects
  • Validate new product designs, equipment, and processes with engineering teams
  • Analyze Production Data to find ways to boost safety, cut costs, enhance efficiency, and raise quality.
  • Drive investigations and root cause analysis for quality issues
  • Collect and analyze mechanical and electrical test data with engineering teams
