About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and experienced (Senior) Environmental Scientist / (Senior) Industrial Hygienist to join our growing Industrial Hygiene & Built Environment practice in Texas. This role is ideal for someone with hands-on field experience conducting environmental assessments related to asbestos, lead, mold, indoor air quality (IAQ), and general industrial hygiene evaluations. You will work closely with project managers, clients, and internal teams to deliver high‑quality technical assessments, sampling, reporting, and compliance support across a variety of industrial, commercial, and public‑sector environments.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Industrial Hygiene, Occupational Health, Environmental Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of 2 years of relevant field experience in environmental or industrial hygiene consulting.
  • Practical experience conducting and documenting:
  • Asbestos surveys (AHERA/ASBESTOS guidelines)
  • Lead-based paint assessments
  • Mold and moisture investigations
  • Indoor air quality assessments
  • Proficiency with field sampling equipment, building diagnostics tools, and data recording methods.
  • Strong technical writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently in the field and manage multiple tasks concurrently.
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to project sites.

Nice To Haves

  • Current Texas licenses/certifications such as:
  • TDSHS Asbestos Inspector
  • TDSHS Asbestos Project Monitor
  • Lead Risk Assessor or Lead Inspector
  • Mold Assessment Consultant or Technician
  • Experience with industrial hygiene sampling (noise, air monitoring, exposure assessments).
  • Familiarity with project management or mentoring junior staff.
  • OSHA 40‑Hour HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field investigations - including asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and IAQ assessments, as well as broader industrial hygiene evaluations.
  • Collect bulk samples, air samples, wipe samples, and other environmental media according to regulatory and project‑specific protocols.
  • Perform building surveys, moisture mapping, and visual inspections to identify environmental hazards or building-related deficiencies.
  • Assist with abatement/remediation project monitoring, contractor oversight, and clearance testing.
  • Prepare clear, accurate, and technically sound reports, data summaries, and field documentation.
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and coordination of field activities.
  • Maintain strong knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA, TDSHS, local building codes).
  • Communicate professionally with clients, contractors, and internal stakeholders.
  • Strictly follow internal safety protocols and promote a safe work environment.
