About The Position
Performance Environmental Services, Inc. is seeking talented, enthusiastic, and experienced Industrial Hygienists. The role involves consulting and testing projects focused on industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos, and lead.
Requirements
- 2+ years of experience in industrial hygiene, indoor air quality, mold, asbestos and lead consulting/testing
- Good attention to detail and ability to manage time effectively without continuous direct monitoring
- Ability to communicate with persons of various levels including employees, contractors and clients
- Capability of providing site specific training related to federal, state and local regulations
- Ability to work from ladders or scaffolds and wear PPE such as a respirator
- Experience in conducting Indoor Air Quality investigations for both industrial and non-industrial buildings
- One or more of the following certifications: NIOSH 582, Asbestos Inspector, Asbestos Contractor Supervisor, Lead Inspector/Risk Assessor, Certified Microbial Consultant, or similar relevant credentials
- Willingness to travel periodically to cover projects as they arise (travel costs are covered by company), including some out-of-state locations
Responsibilities
- Conduct Industrial Hygiene monitoring and assessments for chemicals and noise
- Generate reports, formulate appropriate recommendations, and develop various types of written programs
- Provide site specific training related to federal, state and local regulations
