About The Position

GHD is seeking a Senior Environmental Project Manager to join its Environmental team in Nashville, Tennessee. The role supports the Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line through project management, technical and regulatory strategy development, proposal development, and staff development and mentoring. The position includes managing a client portfolio for a major oil and gas client, preparing and reviewing project documentation, interpreting environmental regulations, working with environmental data, and developing business opportunities. The role follows a hybrid work model, with three days per week in the office, and requires willingness to travel for client meetings.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree in Environmental Engineering, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
• At least 15 years of experience in environmental consulting is preferred, including environmental permitting and compliance, remediation and design, site assessments, report writing, data management and interpretation, project coordination, and client management.
• Ability and willingness to travel for client meetings is required.

Nice To Haves

• Professional Engineer (PE) or Professional Geologist (PG) licensure.
• Experience coordinating and simultaneously managing multiple tasks with a high degree of attention to detail in a consulting environment.
• OSHA 40-hour HAZWOPER certification.

Responsibilities

• Manage a client portfolio for a major oil and gas client.
• Prepare and technically review correspondence, project proposals, reports, work plans, and project specifications.
• Interpret and evaluate federal, state, and local environmental regulations.
• Compile, reduce, and interpret data.
• Develop business opportunities.
• Mentor staff.
• Contribute to project management and technical and regulatory strategy development for the Contamination Assessment & Remediation service line.
