The Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist is responsible for (1) development of strategies, plans, and procedures for performing testing of the Vit Plant melters and offgas abatement equipment pursuant to requirements contained in the Dangerous Waste Permit, 40 CFR Part 264 Subpart X, and 40 CFR Part 264 Subpart EEE and (2) managing test execution. The Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist develops subcontract scopes of work for test planning and execution; oversees development of test strategies, plans, and procedures; performs subcontractor oversight; and interfaces with project Design Authority, Design Agency, Maintenance, Operations, Environmental and Nuclear Safety, Operations, Quality Assurance, Client, and Regulatory Agency staff and management as required to resolve issues and successfully plan and perform environmental testing. In addition, the Senior Environmental Permitting Specialist prepares and supports presentations and documentation submitted to the Regulatory Agencies and Client to propose strategic and innovative solutions or alternatives to environmental performance testing and EPA reference methods.
