About The Position

The Senior EHS Specialist is responsible for oversight and implementation of all Environmental Health, Safety and related regulatory requirements to ensure compliance, identify & resolve EHS gaps, and reduce risks. This position reports to the Global EHS Manager, is part of the Global EHS team, and works onsite at the IDT location in Sunnyvale, CA. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: Lead the EHS function for a combined manufacturing, laboratory, warehouse, and R & D site Lead and implement EHS Management System program activities such as EHS Program evaluations, compliance audits, corrective action plans, facilitating onboarding and ongoing training for associates. Lead risk assessments, safety observations, incident investigations, inspections, and corrective actions using DBS problem-solving tools to identify hazards, reduce risk, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. Manage environmental permits, regulatory reporting, and compliance requirements Monitor and maintain EHS performance, including tracking key performance indicators, trends and emerging regulations

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • At least three years of experience including experience supporting manufacturing, industrial, or other regulated operations, with a working knowledge of applicable Cal/OSHA, EPA, RCRA, and related regulatory requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience conducting risk assessments, incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective action management to drive risk reduction and continuous improvement.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills, with the ability to influence and engage associates and leaders at all levels while managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

  • Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Industrial Hygienist (CIH), Hazardous Materials Manager (CHMM)
  • Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response (HAZWOPER) first responder operations level
  • Experience with Danaher Business System (DBS) or equivalent continuous improvement methodologies.
