About The Position

If you are passionate about workplace safety and preventing incidents, this role gives you the opportunity to make a direct impact across site, research, and field operations. As an Environmental Health and Safety Specialist, you will support health and safety programs at SAI Livingston. This is an onsite role with a regular Sunday through Thursday swing shift schedule, plus seasonal off-hours and weekend support as needed.

  • Flexibility to support seasonal operational needs, including off-hours and weekends.

Responsibilities

  • Track site health and safety issues through resolution, maintain accurate records, and provide status updates and reporting.
  • Manage required safety training records and support employee safety awareness.
  • Partner with operations and site leadership to identify and address workplace hazards and risks.
  • Conduct safety walks, audits, and inspections.
  • Track observations and corrective actions through closure.
  • Support field operations with incident reporting and safety activities involving tractors, farm equipment, and harvest operations.
  • Develop and deliver training on energy isolation, safety orientation, combustible dust, ammonia awareness, wildfire safety, Valley Fever, heat illness prevention, and agricultural safety.
  • Coordinate safety drills and emergency response plans, participate in safety meetings, support safety projects, and promote a strong safety culture.
