About The Position

The A.C.Coy Company is assisting a local Client in their search for a Senior Environmental Engineer. This individual will play a meaningful role in the design and execution of complex water remediation and wastewater treatment projects, including proposal generation, project management, client interaction, and technical leadership. Our ideal candidate will have 10+ years of professional experience in Environmental Engineering with a strong emphasis on groundwater treatment, remediation, or process engineering. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Environmental Engineering (chemistry focus preferred), or related field
  • 10+ years of professional experience with a strong emphasis on water and wastewater treatment
  • 5+ years of professional experience in the remediation and development of contaminated industrial sites
  • Strong expertise with permitting and state and federal environmental regulatory programs
  • Excellent communication skills and an ability to work collaboratively with clients and team members
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Ability to travel 5-10% of the time for client meetings

Nice To Haves

  • Pennsylvania P.E. license strongly preferred
  • Previous experience managing large remediation projects
  • A strong Chemistry background and knowledge of process engineering (piping, instrumentation, pumps, valves, controls)

Responsibilities

  • Lead and support the design of groundwater treatment and remediation systems, including process design, hydraulic analysis, and selection and layout of equipment, piping, and instrumentation
  • Provide technical expertise for the operation, optimization, and troubleshooting of existing groundwater treatment systems and remediation infrastructure
  • Support PFAS treatment projects, including sampling approaches, treatment evaluation, and regulatory considerations
  • Interface with state and federal regulatory agencies, including preparation and support of permit applications and compliance documentation
  • Prepare and review technical reports, engineering calculations, and design documents
  • Support project planning, scheduling, and budget management, with increasing responsibility as appropriate
  • Serve as a technical resource and mentor to junior engineers and staff
  • Participate in business development activities, including proposal preparation and client support
