Senior Enterprise Security Engineer

FanDuel•New York City, NY
•$160,000 - $200,000•Hybrid

About The Position

As a Senior Enterprise Security Engineer, you will design and build software and systems that secure FanDuel’s global device fleet at scale. You will own the architecture and implementation of endpoint security solutions, including production-grade code, automation frameworks, and secure-by-default device baselines. This is a hands-on technical role focused on engineering endpoint security platforms and controls rather than endpoint security as an operational output alone. You will work across Security, Enterprise Technology, and other teams to turn complex endpoint challenges into platform solutions that enforce security controls at scale. You will mentor early-career engineers through code reviews and technical coaching and serve as a technical leader within the Cyber Defense Engineering organization. You will report to the Engineering Manager, Cyber Defense Engineering. Employees may also be assigned other duties as business needs evolve.

Requirements

  • Hands-on information security experience in at least one of these domains: security engineering, threat detection, incident response, or endpoint protection.
  • Intermediate proficiency in one or more systems or software engineering languages, such as Python or Go, with a track record of production-grade code for endpoint management automation and security tools.
  • Understanding of endpoint and mobile security ecosystems, including EDR, DLP, MDM/MCM, endpoint protection, encryption, attestation, and zero-trust device trust across macOS, iOS, Android, and Windows.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and operating enterprise security tools such as Jamf Pro, Microsoft Intune, FleetDM, CrowdStrike Falcon, or Okta Verify in multi-OS production environments.
  • Hands-on experience with infrastructure-as-code and GitOps workflows, such as Terraform, Ansible, or Chef, including designing CI/CD pipelines for configuration management and policy deployment.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, including diagnosing complex infrastructure and security issues, communicating fixes to non-technical stakeholders, and documenting learnings.
  • Comfort working in a rapidly evolving environment and dealing with ambiguity.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience building or improving threat detection pipelines, conducting threat modeling, or leading incident response investigations, with knowledge of adversary tactics and detection best practices.
  • Scripting experience in Bash and/or PowerShell for operational automation.
  • Experience with infrastructure from major cloud providers such as AWS, GCP, or Azure and enterprise SaaS platforms at scale.
  • Relevant security certifications such as CISSP, CISA, CISM, CEH, Security+, or CCSP, or contributions to open-source security projects.
  • Ability to communicate complex security concepts to technical and non-technical audiences, including leadership.

Responsibilities

  • Define security strategy across FanDuel’s global infrastructure, including threat modeling, architectural decisions, mentoring security engineers, and advancing zero-trust program maturity.
  • Own technical projects end-to-end, developing endpoint security platforms with Python, Go, or similar languages.
  • Build CI/CD pipelines for infrastructure-as-code and establish GitOps workflows for policy deployment and drift detection.
  • Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and build detection pipelines for endpoint compromise, data exfiltration, and policy violations.
  • Mentor early-career engineers through design reviews, code feedback, and technical coaching; promote high standards for detection quality and operational procedures.
  • Identify and address platform risks, technical debt, and emerging opportunities.
  • Use AI to support automation, threat detection, and operational efficiency across the platform.

Benefits

  • Health plans, including some options costing as little as $0 per paycheck.
  • Programs for fertility and family planning, mental health support, and fitness benefits.
  • Paid time off and sick leave.
  • Annual bonus and long-term incentive opportunities based on performance.
  • 401(k) with up to a 5% match.
  • Commuter benefits.
  • Pet insurance.
  • Medical, vision, and dental insurance.
  • Life insurance and disability insurance.
  • Potential short-term or long-term incentive compensation, including cash bonuses and stock program participation.
  • Paid personal time off and 14 paid company holidays.
