About The Position

Snowflake is hiring a Senior Security Engineer for its Enterprise Security team. The team protects Snowflake, its employees, customers, and data by building and operating endpoint security at enterprise scale across endpoints, identities, AI-assisted workflows, and intelligent systems. The role supports a multi-cloud, multi-SaaS environment and contributes to endpoint security architecture as the company grows. The engineer will deploy and maintain endpoint security solutions, build automation and tooling, monitor and investigate security events, develop detection and prevention controls, and drive endpoint risk remediation. The role also helps establish endpoint protection policies and standards, works with Security, Engineering, IT, and Product partners, and provides technical guidance to employees. Snowflake describes its desired approach as AI-native, experimental, collaborative, and focused on evolving how work gets done.

Requirements

  • At least 3 years of hands-on information security experience, such as security engineering, detection, threat intelligence, or incident response, with a focus on endpoint security.
  • Proficiency in at least one programming language such as Python, Go, Java, C, C++, or JavaScript.
  • Experience using AI-assisted development.
  • Hands-on experience deploying and maintaining endpoint security tools such as EDR, DLP, MDM, or secure browsers across Windows, macOS, and Linux.
  • Solid understanding of operating systems, network protocols, application platforms, and endpoint security concepts and best practices.
  • Experience owning well-scoped technical projects from design through delivery with limited supervision.
  • A bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with AI security solutions or securing AI-assisted workflows.
  • Experience with infrastructure from major cloud providers (AWS, GCP, Azure) and enterprise SaaS platforms at scale.
  • Relevant certifications such as CISSP, CEH, or Security+.
  • Ability to explain security concepts clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

  • Deploy, maintain, and scale endpoint security solutions, including EDR, DLP, secure browsers, MDM, and AI security tools, across a multi-cloud, multi-SaaS environment.
  • Contribute to endpoint security architecture decisions as the company grows.
  • Build automation and tooling using software engineering and AI to reduce toil, improve detection fidelity, and speed up response.
  • Monitor security events, investigate incidents, and build detection and prevention controls against endpoint compromise and data exfiltration.
  • Perform risk and threat analyses on the endpoint fleet and drive identified vulnerability remediation through resolution.
  • Apply zero-trust principles to reduce the attack surface.
  • Help write and roll out endpoint protection security policies, procedures, and standards aligned with relevant compliance frameworks.
  • Work with Security, Engineering, IT, and Product partners to implement secure practices.
  • Provide technical guidance to employees and end users.
  • Maintain high standards in threat modeling, detection quality, and incident response, and share knowledge through reviews and documentation.
