About The Position

Koniag IT Systems, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a Senior Enterprise IT Architect to support KITS and our government customer in Carson, CA. This position is for a Future New Business Opportunity. The Senior Enterprise IT Architect is responsible for the delivery, execution, and technical implementation of the environment in support of the customer’s mission. This role bridges the gap between the agency’s mission and the complex digital infrastructure required to manage it.

Requirements

  • A Baccalaureate or master’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, or Engineering.
  • Typically, 6–10+ years of deep technical experience in enterprise or solutions architecture, specifically within highly regulated government environments.
  • Most roles require at least a Secret clearance, with some requiring Top Secret (TS/SCI) depending on the sensitivity of the systems.
  • Often require DoD 8570/8140 compliance, such as CISSP, AWS/Azure Solutions Architect Professional, or TOGAF.

Responsibilities

  • Design and deploy the specific technical stacks (e.g., Azure/AWS, Salesforce, or Oracle) used for the customer’s business systems like the Wide Area Workflow (WAWF) or the Integrated Cost Analysis Solution (ICAS).
  • Actively manage the "lift and shift" or refactoring of aging applications into modern, cloud-native architectures.
  • Experience supporting a wide variety of enterprise infrastructure technologies and implementations, such as enterprise storage, virtual server implementations, Sharepoint, data center consolidation and network planning.
  • Hands-on application of STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides) and RMF (Risk Management Framework) controls to ensure systems achieve and maintain an Authority to Operate (ATO).
  • Create and maintain high-quality architectural artifacts—such as System Design Documents (SDD) and Interface Control Documents (ICD)—that are required milestones for the contract.
  • Lead development teams in an Agile/DevSecOps environment, ensuring that code and infrastructure-as-code (IaC) align with the overarching enterprise architecture.
