About The Position

The Senior Engineering Technician provides technical support to manufacturing engineers in developing and improving manufacturing processes. The technician will also support Manufacturing engineers with designing, building and documenting fixtures and tools. Perform equipment maintenance, updating process documenting, and department clerical work. The technician works closely with engineers and production assemblers to evaluate assembly and product issues, develop solutions, and ensures efficient and reliable production methods. This position requires strong technical skills, analytical problem-solving, and a comprehensive understanding of manufacturing and quality control processes.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment.
  • Experience troubleshooting mechanical and electrical equipment or manufacturing processes.
  • Experience supporting process improvements, equipment maintenance, or production-related technical activities.

Nice To Haves

  • Associate’s degree in engineering, Manufacturing Technology, or a related technical field.
  • Experience designing, assembling, or modifying manufacturing tooling and fixtures.
  • Experience conducting time studies, process evaluations, or value stream mapping activities.
  • Experience creating or maintaining manufacturing documentation, work instructions, or process validation records.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot manufacturing process, material, and equipment issues to minimize downtime and support production goals.
  • Analyze assembly and product quality concerns and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and consistency.
  • Design, build, modify, validate, and maintain tooling, fixtures, and manufacturing equipment to support safe and cost-effective operations.
  • Support manufacturing engineers by creating and updating process documentation, engineering changes, deviations, and product-related records.
  • Assemble, install, wire, test, and maintain manufacturing equipment, including mechanical, pneumatic, electrical, and electronic components.
  • Conduct time studies, process evaluations, and workstation assessments to validate cycle times and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Develop, maintain, and document inspection, testing, and process validation procedures to meet quality and compliance requirements.
  • Train manufacturing personnel on technical processes, quality standards, and approved work methods while supporting continuous improvement initiatives.
