About The Position
Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is hiring a Senior Engineering Technician for an onsite position in Clearwater, Florida. This is a contract opportunity for 06+ months with long-term potential. The role involves hands-on technical work testing, troubleshooting, and isolating faults in advanced electronics assemblies, as well as conducting development, integration, acceptance, and environmental tests. The technician will operate specialized test equipment, follow detailed procedures, maintain accurate records, and coordinate with technicians and engineers.
Requirements
- At least 4 years of experience in an electronics discipline.
- Associate degree, technical degree, or equivalent military training or experience.
- U.S. citizenship, required due to government regulations.
- Experience with general-purpose test equipment, such as oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, DMMs, and logic analyzers.
- Ability to read schematics and follow step-by-step procedures with attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work different shifts, overtime, and weekends as business needs require.
- Ability to produce clear, precise technical documentation for event records, engineering orders, and data book entries.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Nice To Haves
- Prior military service, particularly with the USAF or USN.
- Experience with Guidance and Navigation Electronics systems.
- Environmental test experience.
Responsibilities
- Perform hands-on technical tasks related to testing, troubleshooting, and fault isolation of advanced electronics assemblies.
- Conduct development tests, system integration, formal acceptance tests, and environmental testing.
- Set up, program, and operate special test equipment to execute Acceptance Test Procedures.
- Maintain detailed test logs and follow test procedures precisely.
- Provide daily shift pass-along information through verbal communication and written documentation.
- Carry out daily cleanliness, standardization, safety, equipment and lab maintenance, and operating system tasks.
- Collaborate closely with test technicians and engineers.
