About The Position

Parsons is seeking a Senior Engineering Technician to support its Federal Solutions team and US government customers. The role manages engineering and technical submittals, coordinates their processing with project and engineering staff, maintains project records and the ProjNet database, and serves as a liaison with contractors. Deliverables must be provided within established review times, typically 10 working days or less. The role requires advanced proficiency in applying complex engineering methods and operational-process tasks and testing techniques. No security clearance is required.

Requirements

• Associate's degree in Engineering Technology or a related field, or equivalent related training/certification if applicable.
• At least 8 years of related experience.
• Advanced proficiency in applying highly complex engineering methods and tasks and testing techniques related to operational processes.

Responsibilities

• Receive and log incoming submittals.
• Communicate with the PM, Resident Engineers (RE), and construction representatives about submittal-processing progress.
• Forward drawings and other technical submittals to the appropriate engineering department personnel.
• Organize, file, and maintain engineering and technical documents.
• Give presentations as requested.
• Maintain the Project Extranet (ProjNet) database.
• Contact PMs about completion of reviews.
• Act as a contractor liaison.
• Deliver submittals to PMs and REs.
• Use USACE automated information systems as required.
• Provide contract deliverables within established review times, typically 10 working days or less.
