This hands-on role is responsible for building and maintaining custom test fixtures, ensuring high equipment uptime, and supporting facility and production equipment. The ideal candidate has strong electronics troubleshooting experience (high-voltage (>2kV) a plus), is comfortable working across electromechanical systems, and thrives in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.

Requirements

  • Associate’s degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, or related field, preferred; or High school diploma or GED and at least 4 years of equivalent hands-on experience.
  • Strong background in electronics (analog and digital) troubleshooting and diagnostics at the component level.
  • Working knowledge of electro-mechanical systems.
  • Experience troubleshooting complex manufacturing or production systems (e.g., high vacuum systems, high voltage power supplies (>50kV)).
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
  • Hands-on experience performing preventive maintenance and corrective repairs.
  • Experience using electronic test and measurement equipment (e.g., multimeters, oscilloscopes).
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities in a production environment.
  • Physical requirements include standing, lifting up to 50 lbs, and manual dexterity.
  • Understanding of safety protocols and compliance requirements.
  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
  • Must be able to pass a comprehensive background check, which includes a drug screen.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience working with high voltage or high vacuum systems
  • Experience building and maintaining custom test fixtures
  • Familiarity with failure analysis and root cause methodologies
  • Basic machine shop skills (lathe, mill, drill press, power tools)
  • Additional relevant certifications a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build, troubleshoot, and maintain custom test fixtures to support engineering and production needs
  • Provide daily sustaining support for manufacturing operations, ensuring high equipment availability and reliability
  • Perform routine and non-routine preventive maintenance (PMs) on manufacturing equipment and toolsets
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues, diagnose root causes, and perform repairs to restore systems to operational status
  • Respond to equipment alarms, failures, and process interruptions in a timely manner
  • Conduct failure analysis on equipment and product to support root cause investigations and corrective actions
  • Read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics during troubleshooting and repair
  • Maintain and service facility equipment to ensure safe and continuous operation
  • Collaborate with engineering and production teams to return equipment to service
  • Document maintenance activities, repairs, and test procedures in accordance with quality requirements
  • Manage multiple tasks and adjust quickly to changing priorities
