About The Position

The Senior Engineering Section Manager leads a team of people covering several DAWs within the family, typically as a second-line manager with senior professional direct reports. The role may manage medium to large teams and is responsible for attracting and retaining talent, developing expertise in the function, influencing policy, and ensuring delivery within the area of responsibility while linking with other parts of the organization. The position contributes to the design and development of products, solutions, and systems, including technical improvements to existing products and components. It owns or influences budgets and operating plans and works across functions, with autonomy within its operational area or a segment of a larger business unit. The role requires evaluative judgment and operational acumen and may have a major impact on a small business unit or functional family. The manager interprets business challenges and industry trends to recommend best practices; leads others in finding solutions to complex manufacturing processes; and uses engineering, manufacturing, or product-management techniques to resolve issues. The role may lead functional teams or projects of moderate resource requirements, risk, or complexity, present solutions to leaders, and communicate complex messages while influencing peers and negotiating internally or with external partners, vendors, or customers. The role requires a bachelor's degree in engineering and at least 10 years of professional experience, including at least 8 years in design engineering. Travel of up to 10–15% is required. The position is eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. The stated base pay range is $192,050–$256,450.
