About The Position

The Apple Services Engineering team is responsible for powering key Apple services like the App Store, Apple TV, Apple Music, Apple Podcasts, and Apple Books, delivering a wide range of entertainment content to millions of users globally. Program Managers on this team collaborate with engineers to create secure, end-to-end solutions, leveraging Apple's unique integration of hardware, software, and services. The team is committed to upholding Apple's privacy standards and operates with a small, flexible, and cross-functional structure, offering significant exposure to diverse opportunities. This role specifically focuses on building and managing the foundational cloud infrastructure that supports millions of daily users, emphasizing extraordinary service availability, scalability, and security. Requirements

• 8+ years in technical program management, with significant experience in infrastructure or platform development.
• Deep understanding of and experience in distributed systems, cloud infrastructure, and software development lifecycles.
• BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or related technical field or related experience.
• Proven ability to drive complex, multi-team technical programs from ambiguity to delivery.
• Track record of influencing senior engineering leaders and building consensus across organizations with competing priorities.
• Strong technical acumen and the ability to engage with product and engineering on architecture decisions and tradeoffs.
• Self-motivated and proactive; demonstrated ability to quickly triage, prioritize, and navigate ambiguity under pressure.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; able to translate technical complexity into clear narratives for diverse audiences.

Nice To Haves

• Familiarity with container orchestration (Kubernetes), workflow systems, or distributed data platforms.
• Experience building developer platforms or infrastructure-as-a-service products.

Responsibilities

• Drive large programs that span the software stack within Apple Cloud Services Infrastructure.
• Act as the connective tissue between infrastructure engineering teams building foundational systems for Apple services.
• Partner with engineering, product, and business teams to translate platform vision into executable roadmaps.
• Drive alignment across complex technical dependencies to ensure the delivery of integrated, scalable infrastructure.
• Drive cross-functional programs across cloud infrastructure products including Compute, Storage, Observability, Traffic, Data Platform, Data Services, and Developer Experience.
• Partner with engineering leads to translate platform strategy into actionable roadmaps with clear milestones, owners, and success criteria.
• Identify technical and organizational risks early, and facilitate alignment and unblocking of teams through proactive problem-solving.
• Establish program frameworks to provide visibility into cross-team dependencies, progress, and tradeoffs for leadership decision-making.
• Drive operational rigor across the program lifecycle, from requirements gathering through launch readiness and post-launch iteration.
