About The Position

The Senior Engineering Manager – Fleet, Configuration and Standardization leads the strategic vision for process excellence across Aero Alliance’s global shop network. Reporting into broader Engineering leadership, the role oversees a global team comprising Fleet Managers, the Configuration team, and Standardization Engineers. The position drives global engineering standardization, operational efficiency, and vertical integration, and serves as the primary liaison between Aero Alliance shops, Digital Technology (DT), Channels, and GE Aerospace to ensure technical policies and repair processes are world-class, scalable, and aligned with business objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a related technical field.
At least 10 years of progressive experience in a manufacturing or maintenance repair and overhaul (MRO) environment.
Availability for global travel up to 20%.
Strong strategic thinking and ability to translate complex technical concepts into business-ready solutions.
Strong oral and written communication, interpersonal, engagement, listening, and influence-management skills.
Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work in a cross-functional environment.
Self-motivated and disciplined approach to completing tasks and achieving business goals.
Ability to manage changing and conflicting priorities and resolve them appropriately.

Nice To Haves

At least 7 years of experience with aeroderivative or heavy-duty gas turbines.
Deep knowledge of Aero policies (O&M, IPB, IRM) and internal documents (SPL/IRD).
At least 5 years of experience leading remote or cross-functional teams in a complex global environment.
Advanced experience using Excel, Tableau, and Smartsheet to manage metrics and project performance.
Familiarity with GE/BKR repair business.
Customer-first mindset and ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced shop environment.
Passion for developing sustainable, repeatable processes that improve shop-floor performance.

Responsibilities

Mentor and oversee the Central Engineering team, fostering clear thinking, accountability, and professional growth.
Combine Channels and GE Aerospace information to develop a fleet database that supports predictive data and statistics for Aero Alliance.
Participate in Channels and GE Aerospace events, including User Conferences and Product Boards, and communicate flow-down information to the broader Engineering team.
Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide engineering policies.
Ensure consistent application of the Gate Process across configurations and service channels.
Oversee the lifecycle of Repair Bills of Materials (RBOMs) and technical work scopes.
Use data-informed decision-making to reduce scrap rates and optimize engine configuration management.
Act as the executive escalation point for technical challenges involving shop operations, application engineering, and internal stakeholders, including GE Aerospace, Product Leadership, and Industrialization.
Champion Lean methodologies and adoption of digital tools to streamline workflows, improve shop safety, and enhance quality management systems.
Manage the portfolio of strategic engineering initiatives and ensure projects, including Service Bulletin implementation and new product rollouts such as LM9000, are delivered on time and within budget.
