About The Position

Lead a high-performing engineering organization within Apple's Wallet, Payments, and Commerce teams. Deliver secure, reliable, and delightful experiences at massive scale in a highly regulated, global environment. Set organizational direction, develop engineering talent, and partner with Product, Design, Business, Legal, and Regulatory leaders to turn ideas into products. Bring clarity to complex and ambiguous problems, make sound decisions with incomplete information, and maintain a high bar for quality, security, and privacy. Collaborate across disciplines, communicate complex ideas clearly, and help define world-class financial experiences at Apple scale.

Requirements

• Proven experience leading engineering teams, including managing managers or multiple teams, and delivering complex, high-impact software.
• Strong technical background building and operating large-scale distributed systems serving millions of users or high-volume transactions.
• Experience in payments, financial services, or other regulated domains, with understanding of compliance, security, and privacy implications.
• Demonstrated success partnering with and influencing cross-functional leaders, including Product, Design, and Business stakeholders.
• Track record of hiring, developing, and retaining strong engineering talent, including growing future leaders.
• Experience setting direction and driving execution across ambiguous, multi-team initiatives.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with ability to engage executive and engineering audiences.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Experience with money movement, tokenization, transaction processing, or other financial systems.
• Experience with cloud-native architectures and systems built for scale and resilience.
• Experience collaborating with external partners, financial institutions, or payment networks.
• Experience building or evolving shared platforms that serve multiple products or business units.
• Familiarity with emerging payment standards and technologies shaping the industry's future.
• Master's degree or equivalent experience.
