About The Position

Mitsubishi Power is seeking a Senior Engineering Manager for Manufacturing to lead a cross-functional team of engineers supporting the new manufacture and repair of gas turbine components. This role provides technical leadership, strategic direction, and execution oversight for scalable engineering solutions. The manager will drive integration and standardization across machining, automation, tooling, and inspection disciplines, and partner across departments to resolve technical challenges and support operational growth and performance.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field, or 10+ years of manufacturing engineering experience.
  • Strong expertise in manufacturing processes such as milling, EDM, grinding, automation, inspection, and tooling design.
  • Experience in industrial gas turbine manufacturing or repair preferred.
  • Proven success leading cross-functional engineering teams and programs.
  • Experience scaling engineering processes and integrating advanced manufacturing technologies.
  • Familiarity with digital systems such as MES and SCADA.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills across technical and leadership audiences.
  • Proficiency with engineering tools including CAD/CAM, Excel, and documentation systems.
  • Ability to analyze technical data and make sound engineering-based decisions.
  • Willingness to travel up to 15%.

Responsibilities

  • Provide technical leadership across engineering disciplines, ensuring consistent standards and best practices.
  • Lead and develop engineering team members, including performance management and career development.
  • Align engineering and operations to deliver projects on schedule and meet performance targets.
  • Develop and implement scalable engineering processes to support site growth.
  • Drive continuous improvement using data analysis, emerging technologies, and process redesign.
  • Establish and monitor KPIs to track progress, accountability, and performance improvements.
  • Oversee change management processes, ensuring proper review, approval, and documentation.
  • Collaborate across regional and international sites to share best practices and align engineering approaches.
  • Adhere to safety standards and support a positive, collaborative team culture.
