About The Position

At Pratt & Whitney, a world leader in aircraft engines and auxiliary power systems, the Controls & Diagnostic Systems (CDS) organization is seeking a highly motivated, team-oriented, and results-driven Senior Engineer to join the Engine System Software organization. This dynamic engineering group focuses on the development and certification of military and commercial gas turbine engine control and diagnostic systems. CDS is responsible for all aspects of Pratt & Whitney engine control and diagnostic system development and support, including requirements analysis & definition, system & software architecture, algorithm design, product software design, verification & validation, and engine and flight test support. The role involves developing software requirements and designs within an Agile Framework, decomposing system-level requirements, documenting traceability, conducting iterative prototype testing, performing reviews, and participating in software planning, estimating, and tracking. Additionally, the role includes performing software verification within the Agile Framework, conducting regression analysis, developing/reviewing test descriptions, executing electronic bench test scripts, evaluating test results, executing robustness and low-level module/object testing, and participating in Agile ceremonies. There is a potential to serve as an Agile Scrum Master and/or be part of the Development Team.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM)
  • 5 years of engineering experience or 3 years with an advanced degree
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required
  • U.S. citizenship is required
  • Active and existing security clearance required after day 1

Responsibilities

  • Develop software requirements and designs within the Agile Framework
