About The Position

Skyline Windows is a fourth-generation family owned and operated business. We are best known for designing, manufacturing, and installing custom windows, window wall systems, and terrace doors. All our products are made to order based on our clients’ project specifications. From landmarks to new construction, high end residential to high volume commercial, we do it all! The Senior Engineer is responsible for full project ownership of shop drawings, coordination, and engineering deliverables. This role requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving ability, and the ability to manage budgets, schedules, and complex detailing, while interfacing with clients, architects, and consultants to support project execution.

Requirements

  • Advanced AutoCAD skills
  • Strong understanding of construction and architectural drawings
  • Knowledge of structural and thermal requirements
  • Strong understanding of hardware and installation
  • Strong problem solving ability
  • Ability to manage priorities and deadlines
  • 5–10 years of relevant experience in façade/window industry (required)
  • AutoCAD experience required

Nice To Haves

  • Metal Panel /Slab Cover experience a plus
  • Curtain Wall experience a plus
  • 3D Drawing ability a plus
  • Architectural façade experience a plus

Responsibilities

  • Produce complete shop drawing packages
  • Identify conflicts and propose solutions
  • Perform field investigations and uncover hidden conditions
  • Develop complex details including connections and special conditions
  • Manage engineering budgets and schedules
  • Perform material takeoffs and coordination
  • Ensure accuracy and quality of all deliverables
  • Take ownership of full project engineering and deliverables from start to completion, including engineering budget.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide engineering input externally
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, architects, and consultants on technical matters
