About The Position

LaBella Associates is looking for a Senior Engineer to work with our client to establish and evaluate equipment and construction standards for their transmission, substation and distribution systems. This role requires effective leadership in a matrix organization, with responsibilities including initiation, planning, executing, and closing projects. The Senior Engineer will be responsible for defining the project WBS, Cost Baseline and OBS structure, initiating the project, building its comprehensive work plan, and controlling and managing risks, scope, schedule, and budget. They will also manage teams by facilitating commitment and productivity, removing obstacles, and managing teams. A key aspect of the role involves the implementation and management of Quality and Environmental Process and procedures on all projects, focusing on meeting SPI and CPI performance indicators less than 1.0. Additionally, the Senior Engineer will manage third-party projects, including those for other transmission owners and interconnecting customers. The role is accountable and responsible for Cost/Budgeting and Management, Communication Management, Change Management, Schedule Management, Construction Management Oversight, and Commissioning Management Oversight.

Requirements

  • 10 years or more of experience in Project Management.
  • 3 years of experience in large projects.
  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • Professional Engineer License.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Project, Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
  • Project Management Professional or Program Management Professional.
  • Experience in T & D standards evaluation and development.
