The Senior Engineer is responsible for installing, maintaining, repairing, and performing preventative maintenance on appliances, electronics, and equipment. This role involves conducting daily inspections of the property's mechanical plant, monitoring and controlling property temperature, and reading, logging, tracking, and interpreting readings from various meters and gauges. The engineer will maintain daily logs of operation, maintenance, and safety activities, and monitor and inspect boiler equipment, computer terminals, and switches. Additionally, the role includes assembling, installing, testing, and maintaining electrical systems, apparatus, and components. The position also requires assisting management with hiring, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching employees, serving as a role model, and ensuring adherence to all company and safety policies and procedures. This includes reporting maintenance problems, safety hazards, accidents, or injuries, completing safety training and certifications, maintaining a clean and professional appearance, protecting company assets, and communicating clearly and professionally with others. Developing and maintaining positive working relationships, responding appropriately to employee concerns, and welcoming guests according to company standards are also key aspects of this role. The engineer must ensure adherence to quality expectations and standards, and be able to perform physical tasks such as grasping, turning, manipulating objects, reaching, bending, twisting, pulling, stooping, moving up and down stairs and ladders, moving through confined or elevated spaces, and standing, sitting, or walking for extended periods. The role also requires moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, and placing objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance, and performing other reasonable job duties as requested by Supervisors.
