We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Senior Engineer to join our team at K&A Power Group in Cary, NC. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field
  • three (3) years of electrical engineering experience in distribution design and quality control
  • experience utilizing technical software such as Maximo, BOUD, SEDS, and PoleForeman.

Responsibilities

  • Perform distribution planning and design services for medium voltage (1kV to 35kV) overhead and underground power distribution systems.
  • Perform scope analysis of work assignments and maintain schedule adherence to align with client priorities.
  • Review and/or prepare engineering-quality drawings suitable for construction.
  • Provide technical oversight to solve complex problems with minimal supervision.
  • Review quality and accuracy of field notes and designs and work with stakeholders to resolve issues identified.
  • Assist with pole loading analysis calculations and equipment sizing for residential and commercial projects.
  • Occasional travel to various worksites around U.S. to perform site visits to inspect, measure and verify designs.
