About The Position

Sabre Systems is currently recruiting for a Senior Engineer to support the Adversary and Specialized Aircraft Program Office (PMA-226) at MCAS Cherry Point, North Carolina. PMA-226’s mission is to acquire and provide full lifecycle readiness for 15 different type/model/series adversary and specialized aircraft. The candidate will provide engineering support to the Adversary Mission Systems (AMS) team that produces commodities, agnostic to aircraft Type/Model/Series, are integrated into aircraft to simulate via RedNET the Red Forces on a training range. The RedNET ties into the Tactical Combat Training System (TCTS) pods and provides an accurate picture of aircraft location on the range. This is an on-site position (Cherry Point, NC). An active DoD Secret Clearance or higher is required.

Requirements

  • Must have a master’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university or a bachelor’s degree in a technical or scientific field from an accredited college or university and an additional four (4) years of recent and relevant experience.
  • Must have minimum of ten (10) years of recent and relevant experience in an engineering position, three (3) years of which must be directly related to DoD systems.
  • Candidate should have experience working in a dynamic, schedule constrained, and product diverse environment
  • Candidate should be proficient in Microsoft Office and Adobe products.
  • Candidate should have demonstrated good oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have an active DoD Secret Clearance or higher
  • Must be a US Citizen

Responsibilities

  • Supports the Adversary Mission Systems (AMS) Engineering Lead in the execution of duties.
  • Performs engineering support coordination for the assigned aircraft platforms.
  • Collaborates and coordinates across the F-5 and F-16 Adversary Teams
  • Applies systems engineering methods and tools and performs functions such as system integration, configuration management, and risk management.
  • Reviews and prepares engineering and technical analyses, reports, change proposals, and other technical documentation.
  • Performs problem solving roles in the organization by identifying anomalies, formulating, designing, and/or testing practical solutions to engineering problems for hardware, software, and systems.
  • Pro-actively engage in actions to remove roadblocks or obstacles when encountered.
  • Performs technical evaluation supporting plans to evaluate and implement new technologies and improvements for aircraft systems.
  • Supports the safety governance process and safety reviews.
  • Performs tasks with little or no guidance or leads the execution of complex tasks.
