About The Position

EatClub is hiring a Senior Engineer to own the flow of money through its platform, from customer payments at venues through payment partners to venue settlements and invoicing. This hands-on role works across payments and billing in Australia, the UK and New Zealand. On payments, the engineer builds and extends customer and partner payment flows in collaboration with a staff engineer who sets their direction. On billing, they lead the squad’s work on settlements, invoicing and collections, partnering closely with Finance. The role focuses on replacing manual processes with reliable, automated systems in a small, high-ownership squad. The engineer will develop payment methods and integrations, improve payment reliability and observability, ensure venues are settled accurately, and build billing capabilities covering fees, tax, invoicing and collections. They will work with Finance to reconcile money end to end, investigate mismatches and production issues, and prevent recurring problems. They will also review code, test financial logic, and mentor a mid-level engineer. EatClub is a hospitality technology company whose platform serves over 4 million customers and more than 8,000 venues. The company describes itself as a 200+ person scaleup and says it was awarded Australia’s Fastest Growing Tech Company by the AFR in 2025.
