About The Position

The Engineering job designs information systems that are appropriate for users' needs and consistent with the overall design of the organization's information systems architecture. Under limited supervision, this job is responsible for the installation, configuration and maintenance of the organization's operating systems. Key Focus Areas Serve as a senior technical engineer responsible for the design, configuration, and optimization of Windows 365 Cloud PC environments integrated with Citrix technologies. Drive performance tuning and optimization efforts across Windows 365 and Citrix components to ensure a consistent, high-quality end-user experience. Lead rollout and deployment activities for Windows 365/Citrix solutions across the user population, coordinating with cross-functional teams. Develop, document, and continuously improve support processes for Windows 365/Citrix VDI environments. Deliver education and enablement sessions for Tier 1 and Tier 2 support teams to build internal troubleshooting capability. Provide ongoing system support, incident escalation handling, and root-cause analysis for Windows 365/Citrix issues.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience in end-user computing, virtual desktop infrastructure (VDI), or cloud PC engineering roles.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience specifically with Windows 365 Cloud PC provisioning, management, and optimization.
  • 3+ years of hands-on experience with Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Workspace, and Citrix Cloud administration.
  • Demonstrated experience integrating Citrix technologies with Microsoft Windows 365/Azure Virtual Desktop environments.
  • Proven track record leading or supporting large-scale VDI/Cloud PC rollouts to end-user populations.
  • Experience developing support documentation, SOPs, and escalation frameworks for Tier 1/Tier 2 support teams.
  • Experience delivering technical training or enablement sessions to support staff.
  • Familiarity with performance monitoring and optimization tools (e.g., Citrix Director, Microsoft Intune analytics, Azure Monitor).
  • Deep expertise with Windows 365 Cloud PC (Enterprise/Frontline), provisioning policies, and Cloud PC image management.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Intune / Endpoint Manager for Cloud PC configuration, compliance, and policy management.
  • Advanced knowledge of Citrix DaaS, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix Workspace app, StoreFront, and Citrix Cloud Connector architecture.
  • Experience with Azure Virtual Network configuration, hybrid Azure AD join, and network connectivity requirements for Cloud PCs.
  • Solid understanding of Windows OS internals, Group Policy, and profile management solutions (e.g., FSLogix) in a VDI context.
  • Experience with identity and access technologies including Azure Active Directory / Entra ID, conditional access, and multi-factor authentication.
  • Proficiency in performance monitoring, capacity planning, and troubleshooting tools such as Citrix Director, Citrix Analytics, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics.
  • Understanding of networking fundamentals impacting VDI performance (bandwidth, latency, QoS, SD-WAN considerations).
  • Experience with PowerShell scripting for automation of Windows 365/Citrix administrative tasks.
  • Knowledge of security and compliance best practices for cloud-hosted desktop environments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts for support staff and stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with experience performing root-cause analysis on complex, multi-tier system issues.

  • Microsoft Certified: Windows 365 Administrator Associate or equivalent certification.
  • Citrix Certified Professional – Virtualization (CCP-V) or higher Citrix certification.
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty certification.
  • Prior experience in a Contract/Contingent Worker (CW) engagement supporting enterprise IT transformation initiatives.
  • Experience working within ITIL-aligned incident, problem, and change management processes.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, configure, and maintain Windows 365 Cloud PC provisioning policies, images, and network configurations in alignment with enterprise standards.
  • Integrate and optimize Citrix technologies (Citrix DaaS, Citrix Workspace, Citrix Cloud Connectors, Citrix Gateway) with Windows 365 Cloud PCs.
  • Monitor, analyze, and tune performance metrics (latency, boot time, session responsiveness, resource utilization) across the Windows 365/Citrix stack.
  • Plan and execute phased rollout strategies for onboarding new users and departments onto Windows 365/Citrix, including pilot testing and post-rollout validation.
  • Design and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs), runbooks, and knowledge base articles for support process development.
  • Conduct hands-on training, workshops, and knowledge-transfer sessions to elevate Tier 1 and Tier 2 support team capabilities.
  • Own escalation path for complex incidents, performing advanced troubleshooting and coordinating with Microsoft and Citrix support as needed.
  • Collaborate with network, security, identity, and endpoint management teams to ensure secure, compliant, and performant deployments.
  • Evaluate new Windows 365 and Citrix features/releases and recommend adoption strategies to improve reliability and user experience.
  • Maintain documentation of architecture diagrams, configuration baselines, and change management records.
