About The Position

You will lead the effort to build and scale an AI-driven developer productivity and engineering intelligence program that measures engineering speed, quality, and reliability. Your work will influence engineering and leadership stakeholders by delivering dashboards, scorecards, and automation that enable data-driven decisions. This role is fully onsite (San Jose) and works closely with engineering, platform, data, and developer experience teams.

Requirements

• 6+ years of software engineering experience (platform or backend preferred)
• Experience with GitHub APIs, CI/CD systems, and engineering analytics
• Familiarity with DORA/Four Keys metrics
• Experience with automated testing frameworks (Playwright preferred)
• Strong systems thinking and the ability to balance speed, reliability, and sustainability
• Demonstrated ability to work across engineering, platform, and leadership stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience

• Experience with AI developer tools
• Experience building internal analytics or developer platforms
• Background in developer experience (DevEx) or engineering enablement

Responsibilities

• Instrument and track AI tool adoption and measure suggestion acceptance and AI-assisted PR trends
• Connect AI usage and tooling to real delivery outcomes and publish weekly scorecards
• Implement and monitor DORA metrics (deployment frequency, lead time, change failure rate, recovery time)
• Build GitHub-based insights such as PR cycle time (p50/p75), review SLAs, throughput, WIP aging, and merge→deploy timing
• Enforce test coverage targets and monitor end-to-end health (Playwright pass rate, flakiness, time-to-fix)
• Track rework signals (churn, reverts, hotfixes) and ensure reliability does not regress with increased velocity
• Standardize PR templates and labels, automate ingestion from GitHub/CI/CD/AI tools, and deliver unified team-level dashboards
• Establish privacy-conscious governance standards around AI usage and developer metrics
