About The Position

This role is responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks for financial services applications. The Senior Engineer will create, execute, and automate test plans and GUI automation test cases within an Agile/Scrum environment. They will implement automated tests for web services and backend microservices/APIs, maintain source code with version control tools, and ensure coding standards and quality. The position involves validating cloud services (storage, messaging, monitoring, serverless functions, third-party integrations) using open-source tools, and validating/automating backend systems and data workflows, including diverse data formats, messaging services, relational databases, and third-party message ingestion and transformation processes. The role also includes recommending new tools and techniques to enhance productivity and quality, implementing shift-left testing, writing complex SQL scripts for data validation in a Data Warehouse, and automating database validations. Additionally, the engineer will develop and execute automated database validation tests for data loads and ingestion, and create/document test scripts and defects in project management tools.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a closely related field and five (5) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Master’s degree, or foreign equivalent, in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronic Engineering or a closely related field and three (3) years of experience in the job offered or related occupation.
Demonstrated Expertise (DE) in Investment Management, including SMAs, UMAs, trading workflows, and model management.
DE using MSCI Tax Optimizer (QIS) for portfolio modeling, construction, and rebalancing to align with client objectives, risk constraints, and tax considerations.
DE designing, developing, and maintaining test automation frameworks within a CI/CD environment using Selenium, Appium, TestNG, Cucumber BDD, Rest Assured, Maven, Octopus and GitHub Actions with modular framework and Page Object Model design pattern.
DE validating cloud storage, messaging services, monitoring, transformations, ingestion and serverless functions in AWS S3, AWS Glue Jobs, AWS Lambda, SQS, CloudWatch, Lambda.
DE writing complex SQL queries for database validation in SQL Server and PostGres SQL DB.
DE developing and maintaining UI as well as API automation tests using Microsoft Playwright with Typescript as a programming language.
DE working on test management tools QTest and Zephyr and its integration with JIRA.
DE using GitHub to maintain code quality standards and troubleshooting issues using SONARQube.
DE validating third-party integrations and messages using open-source tools POSTMAN, SOAP UI, Swagger, and Kafka topics in AWS Cloud.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute automated database validation tests for data loads and ingestion, while creating and documenting test scripts and defects in project management tools.
