About The Position

Analog Devices, Inc. (ADI) is seeking a talented and motivated Reliability Engineer to join our Product Reliability Engineering team in San Jose, California. In this role, you will help ensure the reliability and robustness of our semiconductor products by developing and executing qualification strategies that validate new product designs, technology platforms, and manufacturing process changes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Device Physics, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2 + years of experience in semiconductor reliability engineering or a closely related field
  • Solid understanding of semiconductor device physics & familiarity with industry test standards such as JEDEC, IPC etc
  • Proven experience in reliability test methods like HTOL, HAST, temp cycle etc
  • Familiarity with statistical models such as Weibull and data analysis tools like JMP etc
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of internal and external stakeholders
  • Strong problem-solving skills and be able to critically think and react to a dynamic environment

Responsibilities

  • Developing reliability qualification plans for new product and manufacturing process changes in collaboration with R&D, Design, Fab & Packaging groups
  • Determine failure method mechanism through FMEA (Failure Modes and Effect Analysis) and/or FMM (Failure Mechanisms Matrix) and recommend applicable reliability test methods
  • Execute reliability evaluations and/or qualification plans including conducting stress tests, analyzing reliability results, presenting data to management & generating qualification reports
  • Utilize structured problem-methods like 8D to perform root cause analysis of qualification failures and drive implementation of preventive measures to minimize future recurrence
  • Engage in professional development opportunities to keep current with technological advances in the field of Semiconductor Reliability
