About The Position
Stryker Joint Replacement Division Hip Business Unit is currently seeking a Senior Engineer, New Product Development (NPD) to support the Hip Business Unit. This is a hybrid position based in Mahwah, NJ. As the Senior Engineer, you’ll play a key role in developing advanced components and systems for joint replacement solutions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Biomedical preferred)
- Minimum 2 years of engineering experience
- Strong understanding of mechanical engineering principles and design practices
- Proficiency in creating engineering drawings and models using GD&T and CAE tools
- Experience applying materials and manufacturing knowledge to product design
- Ability to clearly communicate technical plans and concepts to cross-functional teams
Responsibilities
- Research, design, and verify components/modules for medical devices with minimal supervision
- Translate design inputs into engineering specifications and sub-system level designs
- Prototype and analyze solutions to validate concepts
- Apply engineering principles to solve complex technical challenges
- Collaborate cross-functionally with R&D, Quality, Regulatory, Clinical, and Marketing teams
- Create and refine engineering documentation, including Design History Files
- Ensure compliance with design controls and risk management per our Quality Management System
- Support project success through ownership, prioritization, and effective communication
